Bomb threat in Chennai Skywalk mall, Amjikarai

Chennai Skywalk mall received bomb threat this morning. Police officials are in full swing checking works.
Skywalk mall located on Amjikarai Poonamalee High Road is a six-stored complex comprising 7 cinema theatres. The mall also has several jewelry stores, apparel showrooms, entertainment spots, gaming hangouts, etc. Thousands of visitors keep thronging to the mall every day and this is one of the busiest malls in the city. Today, like any other day, the mall received good number of visitors coming in to the mall.
Around 11.40 am today, the police control room received a call stating that the mall is under a bomb threat. The person also said that the timing of explosion is not sure.
The bomb threat was immediately passed on to the Amjikarai police station. Police officials rushed out to the spot with police officials and bomb experts. All the visitors were sent out and the mall was vacated immediately. Each one of the floor was then checked thoroughly.
The threat created huge commotion in the entire area and people were left troubled with this issue. On knowing the threat, heavy crowd got gathered outside the mall.
