Indane Gas lorry drivers to strike work on 11th November! May affect gas production!

The lorry drivers working in the gas filling plants of IOC are planning to go on a state-wide strike of work on 11th November.
The General Secretary of the Petroleum Gas Employees Union (CITU), Mr. K. Vijayan informed that the employees should be taken under contract as per the others employed in other IOC units. Employees retrenched from the Manali plant should be reinstated. Backing these 2 objectives, all the lorry drivers employed in the 11 IOC Gas Units throughout Tamil Nadu will go on strike on 11th November.
With the continuing protests in the Manali plant, it is to be noted that there is a meeting scheduled on 12th November between the Chennai Labour Welfare department collector and the workers.
