Price of milk sold by private vendors up by Rs, 6/- to Rs. 8/- per litre!

Tamil Nadu government raised the milk prices from 1st November by Rs. 10/- per litre. Spcial activists and political leaders protested strongly.
Subsequently, there was apprehension that the private milk producers may also increase their prices.
As suspected, the private milk vendors have decided to increase the price of their milk by Rs. 6/- to Rs. 8/- per litre. Announcement is expected within a couple of days.
The president of the milk distribution agents, Mr. S. A. Ponnusamy expressed that government should intervene about this price increase by private milk vendors.
