Betterment in places of north Chennai

North Chennai is getting itself revamped eventually. There are indications about the authorities’ care towards improving the locality. These growing changes are evident from the bright illuminations thrown by newly set LED lights. As per the earlier condition of the newly laid road, the top layer of it would have got washed away by the recent heavy pour down of showers, but it did not turn up so.
According to the corporation assistant executive engineer S.Govindaraj, the new road is laid with utmost precision and slop in both of its sides, and proper drainage facilities are implemented too. He also pointed that most areas that are prone to flooding during heavy shower are left normal without any adverse effect.
Residents of MKB Nagar are now free to walk through the roads with ease even during late hours of the day. Few more localities have also seen significant difference. Though all these seem fine, there are complaints about lights as bushy branches of trees covered the lights, not letting the road to get enlightened. They have now placed a request to the corporation to prune these branches and resolve the issue.
