Registration of electoral rolls to commence from October 15

According to a recent press release made by the Chennai district election office, the Election Commission is said to begin its special summary revision of electoral rolls on 15th October. On the same day, electoral rolls for all 16 constituencies in Chennai will get published at the office of electoral registration officers.
If one wants to get their name enrolled for it, it is necessary to submit their address and age proof along with the application. This is applicable for people of age group ranging between 18 and 24. These electoral photo identity cards will be issued between October 15 and November 10. It is also possible for people to get their names registered online.
In case of any need in making name changes or other detail, Form 8 has to be submitted. On the other hand, Form 7 has to be submitted for deleting names, said the release.
