Chennai tops the list of polluted states! What is your contribution to control it?

Air in Chennai is getting polluted higher and higher, says pollution control board. They add that the pollution in air has doubled in the past 8 years which certainly is shocking to know!
Government here is taking necessary steps to keep air pollution under control. However, it is important for the public to be of support in controlling it. It is important to keep their vehicles properly maintained. At the same time, the government should also improve and increase the necessary steps to prevent air from getting hugely polluted further.
This increasing pollution is hugely affects none other than the people itself. People more often fail to realize this and keep contributing to the increasing pollution of air. It may be that people do not show much importance towards keeping or air clean just because the pollution is invisible to our eyes.
Believe it or not, it is our Chennai city that stands first in the list of polluted cities. The pollution control board of Tamil Nadu has been continuously analyzing the level of pollution ever since 2007 and researches are on. As per the research results, Anna Nagar, Kilpauk, Adyar and T.Nagar seem to have got polluted too high than the permitted level.
Is it not our bound duty to keep our city clean?
