Bomb threats in Chennai schools

Today morning an unidentified person called the police control room and informed bombs had been planted at St John`s Matriculation School in Virugambakkam and Sri Venkateswara Matriculation School in Valasaravakkam.
Following the threat, bomb detective and disposal squad (BDDS) personnel rushed to schools. After two hours of thorough search, the BDDS teams declared that it was a hoax call.
Sri Venkateswara Matriculation School declared a holiday following the threat call. It was not clear if St John`s Matriculation School also declared a holiday.
The Vepery police registered a case and launched a hunt for the prankster.
