Special trains for Onam

Southern Railways will operate a special train and a premium special train between Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram to clear extra rush for Onam festival.
Train No. 06007 Chennai Central- Thiruvananthapuram superfast special will leave Chennai Central at 6.15pm on September 6 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 11am the next day. Train No. 06008 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central superfast special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 8.20pm on September 5 and reach Central at 12.35pm the next day.
Train No. 00648 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central premium superfast special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 9.15pm on September 8 and reach Central at 10.35am the next day.
The train will have varied fares and will have stops at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulum town, Thrissur and Katpadi. Railways has decided to operate special trains based on the demand for tickets as daily trains are sold out closer to the festival.
