GOVERNMENT GETS STRONG ON SELLING OF EXPIRED DRUGS.

A racket on selling expired drug s has been busted with the arrest of Meenakshi Sundaram, Managing Director of Meena Health Care Private limited and four other medicine suppliers. The court took a strong view that selling spurious drug s is a crime while refusing bail on his bail petition along with that of other five persons. The government has finally ordered for the crack down on selling of drugs past their their expiry date. It is very interesting to note that the Chief Minister has to intervene and make a statement when there is mechanism through machinery called Tamilnadu Drugs control department is in place. This certainly reflects the inefficiency of the department and failure of the system. It is finally the poor people who are affected; mainly because of us cannot afford to buy costly drugs. It is heinous crime when think of such gruesome side effects that could cause on the lives of poor people.
