To help the differently able students studying in various government schools in TN to crack NEET, the doctors as well as MBBS students would be playing their part now.

Information gathered is these doctors and MBBS students would be training 30 differently able students of government schools in TN so that they could perform well in the NEET or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2020.

It must be taken into account that among the differently able students those who could walk or stand and have the ability to administer injections and do sutures are eligible to become doctors. Point to be noted is the test to select the eligible students has started. From 2nd December, the process of applying online for NEET 2020 would begin.

It is important to note that of the total medical seats 5% are reserved for the differently able students and those having physical issues between 40% and 80% could apply for MBBS/BDS under the quota. It is known that KMC Alumni Association sought permission to train differently able students in the government schools. Information about 208 students with disabilities was gathered by the school education department.

As per Dr. Prasad Manne, secretary KMC Alumni Association, 200 students have been called individually and enquired about their disabilities plus their interest in preparing for NEET. He added that 30 students out of the 200 have been shortlisted.

The sensational information is each student would be assigned a doctor and a MBBS student and they would help the particular student to prepare for NEET. It must be noted that of the 30 selected students 18 were from Tamil medium.

The secretary later revealed that NCERT books and guides would b distributed for the English medium students and question banks would be given to the Tamil medium students. Biology subject would be given importance till the board examinations.

It is revealed that after the board examinations the association might employ professional trainers to focus on subjects like physics and chemistry. Underprivileged disabled students of private schools would not be left behind and these students would also be provided training to crack NEET. This was as per Dr Prasad Manne.
