Southern region ranks first in pass percentages in ICSE and ISC exams

Candidates who appeared from the Southern region for the Std. X and XII ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and ISC (Indian School Certificate) exams have faired very well. The region has recorded the highest pass percentage in the country. 99.66 per cent of the students passed the Std. X exams and 98.28 per cent passed the Std. XII exams.
‘While none of the national-level toppers are from the State, Ajay Ebenezer Sundararaj from Ida Scudder School in Vellore topped the ICSE class X Exam in Tamil Nadu with 98.20 per cent and Apeksha Avinash Somalinga from Sishya in Chennai has topped the Indian School
Certificate (ISC) class XII exam in the State with 98.50 per cent’, said Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations Gerry Arathoon.
