Widespread rains in Tamil Nadu

While there was some mild rain in the Chennai Metro City, there were widespread rains in the districts of Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Sivagangai, and Virudhunagar.
There was mild rain in several parts of the Chennai Metro City. Even as it rained in the urban areas such as Chepauk, Thiruvallikkeni, Mylapore, and Tambaram, the residents were delirious delighted with the rains and the relief from the oppressing and sweltering heat!
It also rained yesterday (Tuesday, 9th July) in Kanchipuram and its surrounding areas which brought great relief to the residents with this rather pleasant weather.
There were heavy rains with lightning and thunder in Sivagngagi District Karaikkudi, Devakottai, Tiruppathur, and the neighbouring areas. The downpour again brought great relief with a nice cool and pleasant weather
It also rained in the districts of Thiruvaraur, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, and Kodaikkanal, Vandavasi, and Kumbakonam as well.
It rained for more than an hour in Puducherry much to the delight of the public!
Due to the high-velocity wind, a tree collapsed in Anna Salai (Chennai) and fell on auto and crushed it. A person was injured. However, the fire-fighting staff arrived and went ahead to remove the fallen tree and restoring traffic to normal.
