Prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The cyclonic format which had stabilised in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the South-west direction above the Bay of Bengal has now started drifting towards West and is stationed at the Bay of Mannar and the nearby areas, Hence, heavy rains are expected in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
