New food delivery app launches in Chennai

Swiggy, a food delivery app, has been launched in Chennai. As of Tuesday, the app will help customers order food home from 150 top restaurants in the city. The app is already functional in all major metro cities and tier 1 cities in the country.
In Chennai, the app will service restaurants such as Saravana Bhavan, Sangeetha Veg Restaurant, Anjappar, Prems Graama Bhojanam, Hotel Junior Kuppanna, Aasife Biriyani, Wangs Kitchen, Hot Chips, Sandwich Square and Jonah`s Bistro. Initially, the app is available for the region covering Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). These will include Adyar, Velachery, Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur and Alwarpet. The app will expand its services to other areas shortly.
At the launch, a Swiggy official said, Launching in Chennai will further consolidate our positions as India`s favourite online food delivery service. With Chennai, our expansion to all major cities is complete. Our goal is to revolutionise the way India eats - and in covering all major cities, we`re well on our way towards achieving our goal, thanks to our focus on timely and courteous service.
The app is available on the app stores on Android and iOS. Alternately, it can be downloaded from the Swiggy website at www.swiggy.com/app.
