Expect rains today in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry

Though the summer season has come to an end, the impact is still there. The sweltering heat continues. For the last few days mercury continues to be more than 100 degrees. Because of the heat waves, motorists find very difficult to ply. Apart from Chennai, there are also heat waves in other parts of Tamil Nadu.
Chennai Meteorological centre’s official has mentioned, “Due to convection there will be rains in few places of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Isolated heavy rain may occur over South interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, hill areas of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Dindigul and Theni districts of Tamil Nadu. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky condition would be partly cloudy. Rain or thundershower may occur in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 39 and 28 degree Celsius respectively. “
