MoU signed by Cambridge Assessment English with Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute Of Science and Technology, Chennai

Cambridge Assessment English (Part of the University of Cambridge) and Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai have strengthened their association by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on January 7, 2019 at the institution premises. The dignitaries present at the event were, Mr. Dave Baker, Assistant Director, Cambridge Assessment English, Mr. Nassim Abu-Ershaed, Regional Commercial Head, Cambridge Assessment English, Mr. K.V.D Kishore, Vice President, Vel Tech , Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan, Founder President, Vel Tech Dr. A Koteswara Rao, Director Academics and Dr. A. Abudhahir, Dean/FME. Dr. Rangarajan, Founder Chancellor & President and Mr. Dave Baker signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. This event was followed by a brief discussion on the ways to take this understanding forward.
Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai has been a pioneer in setting up high standards and imparting quality education. The major thrust of the MoU is to introduce Cambridge English Exams across Veltech Institutions and other educational institutes in and around Avadi. It is hoped that through the MoU, Vel Tech will offer PG Programmes (M.A) enhanced with Cambridge English programmes for developing the communication skills of the students with an aim improving the employability and increase chances of study or work across the globe.

Cambridge English would support with workshops in order to upgrade the knowledge of the teachers of the institution by training them in the use of latest pedagogies. In continuation with the training, the institution would also explore opportunities of collaborating with Cambridge English to work on the projects of teachers’ professional development.
