Akshaya Tirtiya sale commence

There is a very strong traditional belief especially among the Hindus that buying gold on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tirtiya during the annual Tamil calendar month of Chithirai will bring wealth and prosperity to the family throughout the year.
Accordingly, there are lots of crowds in jewellery shops during this festival. A lot of jewellery items with new designs and colour have been manufactured for sales during this year as well.
The Jewellery traders observed that just as there was an increase in sales by 20 percent last year, it is expected that there will be an increase in the sales of jewellery by a higher margin.
During last year Akshaya Tirtiya, gold was sold at Rs. 2850 per gram. However, this year, the price of gold has come down to Rs. 2777 per gram, it is largely expected that sales will be higher.
