VeppamPoo Sadam (Seasoned Rice with Neem Flower)

VeppamPoo Sadam (Seasoned Rice with Neem Flower) - Improving body metabolism.

Ingredients

  • Cooked Rice - 2 cups
  • Veppampoo (Dried Neem Flower) - ½ cup
  • Onion - 1 
  • Mustard seed - ½ tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Channa dal - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder - ½ tsp
  • Red chilli - 2
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Ghee or Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - as required

Method

  • Heat the pan with Oil and add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, red chilli, Urad dal and Channa dal.



  • Once the Dal turns light brown  add chopped onion and curry leaves, fry till the onion becomes translucent.



  • Now add Neem Flower and salt.



  • Fry for few seconds till the neem flower turns crisp.



  • Add Pepper powder, mix well for few seconds.



  • Turn off the stove and mix well with cooked Rice



  • Serve hot with papad.
