VeppamPoo Sadam (Seasoned Rice with Neem Flower) - Improving body metabolism.
Ingredients
- Cooked Rice - 2 cups
- Veppampoo (Dried Neem Flower) - ½ cup
- Onion - 1
- Mustard seed - ½ tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Channa dal - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
- Pepper powder - ½ tsp
- Red chilli - 2
- Curry leaves - few
- Ghee or Oil - 1 tbsp
- Salt - as required
Method
- Heat the pan with Oil and add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, red chilli, Urad dal and Channa dal.
- Once the Dal turns light brown add chopped onion and curry leaves, fry till the onion becomes translucent.
- Now add Neem Flower and salt.
- Fry for few seconds till the neem flower turns crisp.
- Add Pepper powder, mix well for few seconds.
- Turn off the stove and mix well with cooked Rice
- Serve hot with papad.
