60 centres to issue Aadhaar cards in Chennai

Permanent enrolment centres for issuing Aadhaar cards in 60 locations across the city will be soon set up by the Chennai Corporation.
Now the Chennai Corporation officials have begun work on opening the centres to collect biometric data from residents. All zonal offices have received instructions to commission two sets of biometric hardware immediately in each of the permanent enrolment centres.
Residents will be able to get information on the location of the centres through the Corporation helpline 1913 after the enrolment drive begins.
