People facing hardship on erratic power cuts!

Power is being cut without any prior announcement in places where maintenance work is carried out. This causes undue hardship to the public. TANGEDCO has 1300 sub-stations for transmission & distribution of electric power under different capacities such as 400kV, 230 kV, 110 kV, 66 kV, and 33 kV.
The power cut for maintenance work was reduced for 5 hours starting from 9.00 AM till 2.00 PM. However, there is a practice to extend the power cuts beyond 2.00 PM when maintenance work is not completed.
The public explained that maintenance of equipment is very essential to avoid breakdowns and to endure continuous power. The public is ready & used to bear 6 hours. However, this is extended on many occasions beyond 2.00 PM affecting the small industrial plants, offices and residence. This affects in completing the work planned for the day. When complaints are made, the official make irresponsible replies.
The officials explained by saying that it is normal to experience delays in completing the planned work as scheduled. This delay causes the necessity for extended power cuts till maintenance work is completed. This issue is rather difficult to overcome.
