Chennai Corporation Set to Expand: 50 Suburban Panchayats to be Integrated, Adding 50 New Wards!

The Tamil Nadu government is in the process of integrating 50 suburban panchayats into the Chennai Corporation, which presently spans 200 wards across 15 divisions. This expansion will see panchayats from Tirupporur, Madhavaram, and Ponneri regions being included in the corporation, thus increasing the number of wards to 250 and divisions to 20. This ongoing initiative is anticipated to be officially announced by the year`s end.
