Applications invited for SLET from today

The Mother Teresa University has announced that applications can be submitted online to write SLET - State Level Eligibility Test - for the appointment of the posts of Assistant Professors.

The University has released the news regarding SLET 2018. SLET is scheduled to be conducted on 4th March.

So, applications can be sent online from today (Monday, 18th December) until 9th February. 


The candidates applying for SLET must be postgraduates in Arts and Science Courses with a minimum of 55% marks. For the SC/ST category, differently-abled persons, and OBC (Other Backward Communities) category, the minimum marks required is 50%. (The upper limit of the annual income for OBC cadre has been increased from Rs. 6 Lakhs to Rs. 8 Lakhs).

The syllabus for NET will be applicable for SLET as well. The syllabus can be seen on the website: https://www.ugc.ac.in/.

There are 3 questions papers in SLET. The 1st day is common for all groups. This will be based on the general knowledge, teaching skills, and interest in research activities would comprise of 50 questions (carrying 100 marks).

The 2nd question paper would be on the chosen subject with 50 question for 100 marks. The 3rd question paper will be a continuation of test-2 and would have 75 questions for 150 marks on the chosen subject. Note that all questions belong to the ‘objective` type.

SLET will be conducted in 11 centres – Chennai, Kovai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, Villupuram, Karaikudi, Vellore, Erode, and Thanjavur. The Hall ticket for the examination will not be sent by post.
