Important foods that we must eat to lower the chances of strokes!!

Across the world, one of the common causes of death is strokes. When a blood clot or a burst blood artery interrupts the blood flow to the brain, then we could get strokes. It is true that by consuming well balanced food the risk of getting strokes would get lowered. It is necessary to eat these foods to lower the risk of getting strokes

The foods are

Coffee intake:

Many of us drink coffee as it is a superb energy booster. It must be noted that we could have 20% reduced chances of strokes if we drink coffee.

Tomatoes intake:

The presence of lycopene in tomatoes would lead to reduced risk of getting strokes. Truth is that the incidence of strokes would be reduced by 60% by intake of tomatoes.

Chocolates intake:

It is known that dark chocolate intake would be beneficial for our cardiovascular health.  Both dark as well as white chocolates would prevent the issue of strokes in us. The presence of flavonoids in chocolates would have anti-inflammatory and anti-clotting properties. These would lower cholesterol and blood pressure etc.

Fatty fish intake:

The presence of proteins in fatty fishes would lower the strokes. It is noteworthy that to maintain the heart as well as brain function we must include fatty acids in the diet. Body cannot produce fatty acids on its own is known fact.

Beans intake:

It is superb to note that consuming beans would prevent stroke formation. The antioxidants and magnesium in the beans would lower oxidative stress and would control blood pressure. The risk of getting strokes would get lowered by 9% when we consume magnesium.

Whole grains intake:

Getting strokes would get reduced by intake of whole grains. The whole grains have ingredients like fibre, minerals, antioxidants etc. It was found out by a study that women who eat 2 to 3 servings of whole grains would have 40% lower risk of strokes.

Leafy greens intake:

When we consume leafy greens like kale, spinach etc, then our body would use antioxidants and magnesium and this would lower the risk of stroke. Truth is that a diet rich in leafy greens would lower BP, cholesterol, inflammation etc.

Citrus fruits:

Flavonoids are present in oranges and grapefruits etc and eating these would lower the risk of getting strokes. The chemicals present in the citrus fruits would reduce bad cholesterol and fight insulin resistance.
