Heart attacks and strokes could be more in persons with urinary or respiratory tract infections

The shocking piece of news that has come out now is those people who are having respiratory or urinary tract infections are more prone to heart attacks and strokes.

It is now revealed that persons having one of these infections have got lesser survival rate when compared to those persons who do not these infections after developing heart diseases. Similarly persons with these infections are almost twice likely to die when they get affected by stroke and this is more than those who do not have the above said infections in them.

Britain based Aston University researcher Dr Rahul Potluri expressed his views in this and spoke about how patients with respiratory or urinary tract infections admitted to the hospital are 40 % more likely to get heart attack and 2.5 times more likely to get affected by strokes. This is when more compared to those patients who do not have any respiratory or urinary tract infections.

He also hinted that in the future many people would get affected by heart attacks or strokes when they have infections in urinary or respiratory tracts. There are also chances that other health issues like BP, Diabetes would be more in the people with the above said infections.
