One type of health issue that is affecting many people in this world is this dementia. It is clear that people with this dementia lack the ability to think and remember. As a result these people depend on others in their daily lives.

The latest news that has come out now is women in their middle ages having high physical fitness are having 90 percent less chance to be affected by this dementia issue. This is when compared to those women who are moderately fit. It is worthy to mention that certain highly fit women developed dementia at higher age when compared to less fit women.

Helena Horder from the University of Gothenberg in Sweden spoke about how improving the cardiovascular fitness in the middle age females could delay or prevent them from getting this dementia.

The tests were carried out on as many as 191 women having an average age of 50. These women were subjected to bicycle exercise tests until they became very tired and exhausted and their peak cardiovascular capacity was recorded. Testing for dementia was done 6 times on these women and it was found out that 5 % of highly fit women developed dementia and 25 % of moderately fit women developed dementia. It must be noted that 32 % of women who were low fit developed dementia.

Certain women stopped the above mentioned bicycle tests and it was found that 45% had the issue of dementia after many decades.

Helena Horder further highlighted the negative cardiovascular process at the middle age which could result in dementia in their later stages of lives.
