Gazing to the grievance registered by Santhosh Murugan in Facebook, CTP replied back saying, ‘OMR would have been taken care by TNRDC and we have sent request to its manager’.

The CTP has requested the TamilNadu Road Development Corporation to color coat the speed breaker near Perungudi toll plaza on the Old Mahabalipuram Road and also asked for the installation of the motorists warning board for the speed breaker.

For this year, till now the traffic police have been filled around 217 cases on over-speeding and collected a fine of Rs.66,100 .

In order to regulate the traffic congestion during the peak hours, traffic constables have been placed at the OMR and Kumaran Nagar junction.

Especially reflective barricades have been put up in a zigzag fashion on both sides of the road to avoid accidents and to control the speed of the vehicles.

To rectify another complain registered on Facebook, police has handled a special raid between January 28 and 30 to confiscate illegally parked vehicles in another part of the city.

To avoid further illegal parking, police has decided to collect a fine of Rs.500 from the commuters and till now about 5 cases has been filled by the police officials.
