GUVI, a promising venture nurtured by the prestigious IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad, has introduced a groundbreaking program with the mission of training an impressive one hundred thousand engineering students in the state of Tamil Nadu. This extensive training initiative will be delivered through a series of hackathons, equipping students with valuable coding skills and real-world experience.

Dubbed the `Naan Mudhalvan-Tamil Nadu Coders Premier League` (NM-TNcpl), GUVI has formed strategic partnerships with the `Naan Mudhalvan` initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu, Anna University, and the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.

The NM-TNcpl is a series of both online and offline hackathons, spanning a three-month duration, providing a platform for ambitious engineering students across Tamil Nadu to showcase their coding talents while benefiting from invaluable upskilling opportunities, all at no cost. Through this hackathon series, students will tackle problem statements from various government departments in Tamil Nadu, offering innovative tech solutions to address these challenges.

This pioneering endeavor received its official inauguration on October 6, 2023, at the Anna Centenary Library in Chennai. The event was graced by Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon`ble Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, underlining the government`s commitment to fostering tech talent and innovation among the state`s youth. The `Naan Mudhalvan-Tamil Nadu Coders Premier League` promises to be a significant step toward enhancing the coding skills of Tamil Nadu`s future engineers.
