Decrease in the maximum temperature in Chennai plus other weather details!!

The Regional meteorological Centre or RMC has informed that for the next 48 hours, many districts belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu would receive rains. This could be mainly due to wind variation.

For the fishermen across TN coastal region, a strong wind warning has been issued till 11th of August 2022. It was highlighted by a daily bulletin from RMC that westerly wind speed variation light to moderate rain is likely to occur for the next 48 hours over Dindigul, Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Kanniyakumari and north TN like Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam, Tiruvallur and Tiruvarur districts etc.

The sky in Chennai would be partly cloudy and some areas are likely to get light to moderate rains. By this, for the next few days, there will be a decrease in the maximum temperature and it is likely to record around 34 degrees Celsius. Till Thursday, due to the presence of strong wind, the fisherman has been asked not to go into the sea.

There would be gusty winds of speeds 45kmph to 55kmph over the coast of Kanniyakumari, Gulf of Mannar, TN coastal areas and SW Bay of Bengal adjacent to Sri Lanka. Point is that it has extended over Lakshadweep areas, Kerala-Karnataka coastal areas and adjoining South east and Middle East Arabian sea areas.

It is worthy to mention that in the last 24 hours the Nilgiris district recorded the highest rainfall of 19cms and was followed by Coimbatore with 10cm, Theni with 6cm, Kanniyakumari, Salem and Tirunelveli received 3cms each.
