The Chief Shaji of Tamil Nadu has announced that the Muslim Festival of Moharrum will be celebrated on the 9th of August!
The first crescent was not visible in the month of Moharram yesterday (Friday, 29th July).
As such, Chief shaji has estimated the first crescent of Mohurrum as on 31st July and announced as above!
So, Tamil Nadu State Government has declared a Public Holiday on 9th August for the Moharrum festival!
