Houses to be sealed in Chennai - Be careful house owners!!

The Chennai Corporation has decided to collect the property tax from the residents in an intense manner now!!
It must be noted that the corporation has sent letters to various house owners regarding the revised details about the property tax. In Chennai, there are more than 12lakhs property owners now. To more than 7lakhs people details about the revised property tax have been sent.
The Chennai residents are now of the view that the property tax has been raised to a huge extent and they are unhappy regarding this. The Chennai Corporation has already made it clear that the property owners could send their objections and about 4 lakhs have sent their objections.
Now, the Chennai Corporation has started to intensify the collection of property tax in Chennai. The officials of the Chennai Corporation have revealed that they would not be reducing the property tax amount at any cost. The officials of the Chennai Corporation would explain the property tax collection procedure to those residents who were not happy and satisfied with the sudden revision.
It is now said that those house owners who haven`t paid their property tax amount for a long time would be identified and strict action would be taken against them. The Chennai Corporation has been thinking about some changes that must be made in the law for sealing the houses of those owners who have not yet paid their property tax for a long time.
Information collected is that for those owners of the buildings who haven`t paid their property taxes, notices would be issued 3 times and 6 months time would also be given to pay the property tax amount. The house owners could measure their houses and inform the tax amount. The houses would be sealed by the Chennai Corporation if the house owners show lack of interest.
