Tamil Nadu State Government Announces pilgrimage package in the holy month of Aadi!

The Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for Hindu Religious Endowment, Sekar Babu has informed that during the sacred Tamil Calendar month of Aadi, a pilgrimage package has been arranged jointly with the Department of Tourism which will include visits to all the most popular Amman Temples in the State of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Trichy, Thanjavur, and Madurai!

In a notification released by the Tamil Nadu State Government in this regard, it is mentioned:

"It had been announced in the Legislative Assembly during the presentation of subsidies required by various departments that a pilgrimage will be organised jointly with the Department of Tourism with visits to all the famous Amman Temples in the State!

To implement this proposal, in the coming sacred Tamil calendar month of Aadi, a pilgrimage is being planned to cover all the famous Amman Temples with headquarters in Chennai, Trichy, Madurai, and Thanjavur.

Chennai

In one pilgrimage, the temples to be covered in Chennai Metro City will cover visits to 9 temples including the Goddess Kalikambal Temple in Parry`s Corner, Angala Parameswari Temple in Rouapuram, Goddess Vadivudai Amman Temple in Thiruvotriyur.

Another pilgrimage will include visits to 10 temples including the Mylapore Goddess Karpagambal Temple, Goddess Mundakanni Amman temple, Mangadu Goddess Kamakshi Amman temple, Thiruverkady Devi Karumari Amman temple,

Trichy

The visit to 5 Trichy temples will include Uraiyur Vekkalai Amman temple, Samayapuram Goddess Mariamman Temple, Siruvachur Madhura Kali Amman temple, and ThiruvanaikkavaAkilandeswari Amman temple!

Thanjavur

This pilgrimage covers a visit to 10 temples will be covered in the pilgrimage in Thanjavur including Pannainallur Maha Kaliamman temple, Thirukkarukkavur Karapaga Ratchambikai temple, and Thanjavur Brahadeeswarar temple.

Madurai

The Pilgrimage in Madurai would cover visits to 6 temples including Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madappuran Badrakaliamman temple, and Ariyakkurichi Vettudaiyar Kali Amman temple

These pilgrimages are set to be organised at the lowest possible fares with lunch provided.

Further, the devotees of this pilgrimage will be offered free special Darshan in all the above temples! The pilgrims will be given temple prasadams and leaflets s with details about the temple,
