No power supply for 8 days in this important place in Chennai?

While the policemen are doing great work of rescuing and helping the public from the flooded places in Chennai, the families of these policemen have been struggling!! Shocking right!!
In addition to Covid-19 pandemic, residents are also facing many problems now due to the very heavy rains in Chennai. Water stagnations in many places in Chennai are one common issue now.
In Chennai is located Pulianthope and there has been no power supply for the last 8 days in the sub inspectors quarters. In addition, there is constant water stagnation also.
Truth is that the sub inspectors have been attending duties and helping the public struggling in the floods but their families have been facing issues like power supply and water stagnation. As per a sub-inspector it was clear that the power supply was restored in the nearby places whereas the power supply issue at the police quarters was not sorted out. It is now brought out that the families of sub-inspectors are hoping that the authorities would atleast sort out the underground power cable leakage here to avoid electrocution.
To attend to this issue, workers would be sent immediately and this was according to an officer belonging to Tangedco. He added that power supply would be provided if there is no water stagnation.
