The President of the Thirumalai-Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) Subba Reddy, visited the TTD Lord Venkatesa Perumal Temple in T Nagar, Chennai Metro City and distributed the appointment orders for the staff. After this, he had a session with the press reporters and shared:
“The construction of the temple dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi Devi is progressing quite fast! The construction work is expected to be complete in 1 year and subsequently, ‘Kumbhabhishekham’ of the new temple will be performed!
Another new facility - construction of permanent residences to serve as camping facilities are to be constructed in 3 locations in the Chennai-Tirupathi route for the benefit of the devotees! The devotees who undertake the penance of visiting Tirupathi and having a Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara by undertaking the entire journey on foot! These devotees who undertake walk all the way can stay in these residences on camp on their way! They can cook and have food as well - The restrooms, services of bathrooms and toilets will all be FREE!
I am confident that by the next Tamil calendar month of Purattasi (considered a sacred month especially for the devotees of Lord Venkateswara at Tirupathi) at least 1 or 2 lodges will be ready! “
