Revised MBBS, BDS list for BC students

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has ordered the Directorate of Government Examination (DGE) to compile a revised list MBBS and BDS ranks for the students who belong to the Backward Communities.
The order has been made after students who had applied online asking for photocopies of their answer scripts (Std. XII papers) found that their papers were, instead, revaluated and that they lost marks mostly in Science subjects. This resulted in the lowering of their overall mark and the cut off for admissions into Medical and Dental Colleges. When asked, officials of the DGE said that the students had applied online for revaluation.
