Health Ministry - Cooking and eating chicken / eggs would not spread bird flu!

The Central Ministry of Health has informed that there is no harm in cooking and eating chicken and eggs and it would not lead to bird flu infection.
The spread of bird flu has been confirmed in the states of Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Gujarat.
A warning has been released by the Animal Welfare Department in the State of Uttar Pradesh. All the states unaffected so far with the bird flu, have been insisted to take precautions.
The Central Government has emphasised that the state governments must initiate all necessary actions to create awareness among the public regarding the safety/protection for poultry items such as chicken and eggs and also the fact that cooking and eating these items with due care/precaution is harmless and safe!
