Darshan of Lord Athi Varadhar : It may even take 2 days - devotees to visit prepared

An appeal has been made to the visiting devotees for Darshan of Lord Athi Varadhar!
The appeal observes that it may now take even 2 days for the Darshan and hence the devotees should come prepared accordingly!
The district collector of Kanchipuram, Ponnaiah, informed in this regard:
‘The’ Lord Athi Varadhar Vaibhavam’ has been in progress for the last 37 days.
As on 5th August, 49.50 Lakhs of devotees had Darshan of Lord Athi Varadhar!
On a single day of 5th August alone, 3.20 Lakhs devotees had Darshan!
As an unmanageably large crowd enters the temple, they are made to wait out and then only allowed to join the queue line.
With only a few days left for the Lord Athi Varadhar Vaibhavam’ to conclude, it is naturally expected that there are prospects of more huge crowds of devotees gathering for a Darshan of Lord Athi Varadhar! So, it may be possible that it may take 1 day or even more than that for the Darshan and the devotees must come prepared accordingly.
Mini-buses have been arranged for taking the devotees where they are made to wait before joining the line to the place to join the line of waiting devotees.
The system of VIP Darshan is cancelled on 16th and 17th of August.
A holiday has been announced for all the schools in Kanchipuram city on 16th August.
So, the Eastern Temple Tower Entry points will be closed at 12.00 Noon on 17th August. The devotees who are already inside the temple premises can have Darshan of Lord Athi Varadhar.
The Darshan arrangement will be concluded by 5.00 PM and arrangements will be made to place the deity of the Lord Athi Varadhar back in the original place.’
ADGP Jayanth shared: ‘Presently, it is possible for only 10000 to 14000 devotees to have Darshan in an hour. As 3 to 4 Lakhs of devotees gather every day, it may not be possible for all to have Darshan on a single day. Just like Tirupathi, the devotees need to wait longer for the Darshan!
The devotees entering the VIP gate must show the permission card to enter. In case it is found that any of the police personnel in taking any devotee without this permission cards is caught, immediate stringent action will be taken!’
