The sensational information is the traffic police have asked the motorists to be prepared to pay hefty fine amount of Rs 1000 for the violation as the revised fines are to be implemented in the Chennai city soon. To avoid any confrontation, the traffic police have decided to warn the motorists in advance.

It must be noted that the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill has been passed in the parliament. The fines for violations have increased many times. It is now said that the revised fines would be implemented soon once president of India gives his approval. Information is no excuse would be entertained from those who violate the rules. It was mentioned by the traffic police that most of the road accident victims were youngsters and many do not wear helmets while driving. There are few who do not tie chin strap even if they wear the helmet.
