Even good things needs have a break. Today there is one last chance for light to moderate rains in KTC and then break starts from the current spell with monsoon zone picking up with rains.
Today - One last chance with lesser probability
Mostly North TN districts of Vellore, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Chennai will get rains. Light to moderate rains are possible and not widespread one like past few days. It will rain in some parts of city only and some will be dry completely. So Keep the expectations low today and enjoy whatever comes. Not much rains in other parts of the Tamil Nadu.
Break in rains in Tamil Nadu
This break will be in Convective (Veppa Salanam) Rains in Tamil Nadu and KTC and Tamil Nadu from Tomorrow. There will be some rains on 31-1st August before next but then not like past week. It doesnot mean it wont rain anywhere. Sea breeze can bring some surprise rains here and there. The 1st week of August will see below normal rains too for KTC and TN and even in ghats side and Kerala.
Next active phase in Ghats and Kerala
Next active phase in Kerala, TN Ghats and Cauvery catchment will start around end of 2nd week of august and 3rd week too good spells can be expected with . Till then here and there some isolated spells can happen.

What a July its turning out to be. So happy to see the wells rising pics where RWH is implemented. Chennai, Villupuram, Vellore Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai, Sivaganga got the most of it.
