34 special trains to be operated between Chennai and Kollam

In order to reduce the severe shortage to meet the high demands for seats/berths in the trains, 24 special trains with special fare are to be operated from Chennai Kollam (Kerala State).
These trains are scheduled to start from Chennai Egmore railway Station on 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, and 29th April and1st, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 22d, 27th, and 29th May at 5.30 PM and reach Kollam by the next day morning at 9.20 AM.
The rains are scheduled to start from Kollam Railway station on 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, and 30th April and on 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, and 30th May at 11.39 Am and reach Chennai Egmore Railway Station at early morning at 3.30 AM.
The route will be via Villupuram, Viruddhachalam, Trichy, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Srivilliputhur, Sankarankoil, Sengottai, and Ariyankavu.
The registration/advance booking for the above trains starts from today (Thursday, 7th February).
