Polio Drop administration camps throughout the country by 2nd week of February

Polio drops administration camps are set to be organised throughout the country during the 2nd week of February.
The project to eradicate the attack by the disease polio on children was taken up from the year 1991 when the camps were organised for polio drops administration to children under 5 years of age in 2 instalments in the months of January and March.
Now, India has joined the list of countries where polio has been eradicated completely. However, the system of administering polio drops has not been given up completely. The central government has decided to continue organising the polio drop administration camps once a year from now from this year.
Accordingly, the central government had announced earlier that polio administration camps are set to be organised throughout the country from 3rd February. Subsequently, all the states including Tamil Nadu commenced making arrangements for this. However, due to some unavoidable reasons, polio drops administrations scheduled to be organised on 3rd February had to be cancelled as announced by the central government.
When enquiring about this to the officials of the Department of Health, they explained that there are strong prospects of organizing the polio drop administration camps throughout the country during the 2nd week of February.
