IT professional cheats couple, arrested

Chennai police arrested an IT professional who cheated a couple of Rs. 24 lakhs. Karthik Seethamraju, who worked with and was friends with the couple, convinced them to ‘invest’ in an export company that he wanted to start with another friend Adithya. The couple gave him the money and, soon after, Karthik was absconding.
Chennai police tracked him down in Bangalore and arrested him on Saturday. They are on the lookout for the friend.
