How to ascertain the status of PAN card application online?

In case you had applied for PAN card or a replacement/additional PAN card for the existing one, you might be quite keen to know the status of this application.
There is a facility to check the status of the PAN application online.
When you had applied for the PAN card, you would have received an application number allotted through your email. This number will be sufficient to check the status of the PAN card application online.
Here is the procedure given by NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited):
1. Visit the website for PAN card application and enter the page of tracking.
2. Select the option ‘type’. (New Pan card or correction of details in the old PAN card)
3. Now, enter the application number allotted to you received in your email.
4. Enter the ‘capcha’ properly in the box given.
5. Click the option ‘submit’.
6. Now, your PAN card application will be shown on the screen. The status whether the scrutiny has been completed or in progress will be shown.
The procedure to know the PAN card application status through UTITSL (UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited):
1. Visit the page for applying for PAN card.
2. Enter the application coupon number. This would have been sent to you when you applied.
3. Enter your PAN number.
4. Enter the ‘capcha’ properly.
5. Press the ‘submit’ button. Your PAN card application status will be shown.
