A combo-card plan introduced in Chennai Metro Rail

A new combo-card, serving dual purposes, has been introduced for travel in Chennai Metro Rail. On an average, around 10000 passengers travel by the Chennai Metro. However, after the recent increase in bus fares, this figure has gone by an additional 5000 passengers.
The Chennai Metro Rail authorities have planned to introduce some festive season concessional offers to bring up the number of passengers to 30000 every day.
The systems of smart tokens and smart cards are already in use in the Chennai Metro.
For the passengers who use the smart card in Metro Rail, a concession of the 10% of the fare is offered for each travel. These smart cards can be used for a period of 5 years.
In this situation, the Chennai Metro Rail has introduced some new plans.
A new combo-card has been introduced (card for making payments, or taking a loan, or prepaid) by the Chennai Metro Rail. The passengers can use this card for 3 purposes. The card is valid for 5 years.
For passengers travelling as a group of 5, a 10% concession is offered on the fare. The passengers who recharge their smart cards or smart tokens online must use the ticket issuing machine in the Metro Station and recharge as per the amount intended.
