Results of IAS and IPS Main examinations released

The results of the Indian Civil Services Main Examinations including IAS and IPS were released. In order to fill up the 985 vacancies in the Indian Civil Services for the year 2017, the main examinations were conducted on 5 days last year – 28th, 30th, and 31st October and 1st and 3rd November.
The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) which conducted the examinations release the results of the above main examinations on its official website. As per this, 2568 candidates have been declared successful. Out of this, 218 are students from Tamil Nadu.
UPSC announced that the interviews are scheduled to be conducted during February 2018. Once the interviews are conducted, the final merit list will be released based on the performance in the Main Examination, interview and the reservation quota.
