Christmas today: Special prayers in all churches

Christmas is being celebrated with great cheer and pomp today (Monday, 25th December) all over the world. On this special occasion, Special sacrifice (sirappu thiruppali) was performed at midnight and the early morning on all churches. Special prayers were conducted.
Denoting the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas is being celebrated on 25th December throughout the world. In Tamil Nadu, special prayers were conducted in all the churches.
Thousands of people participated in the special prayers conducted at the famous Santhome Church in Chennai. In a similar trend, special prayers were conducted in the Besant Nagar church as well and thousands participated and performed special joint prayers.
Huts were set up in the churches denoting the birth of Jesus Christ in the cattle-shed and hut. On the special occasion of Christmas, all the churches were decorated with colourful serial lights.
