How to change the address on the passport?

The procedure starts with the changing the address in all the related documents before doing it in the passport.
This is because the procedure of changing the address given in the passport requires several proofs/documents as under.
- Family card
- PAN card
- Bank saving account passbook
- Driving Licence
- Voter ID card
Where to apply?
Apply to the Passport Seva Kendras in the respective districts.
Use Form-2 for this purpose. There is no necessity to apply online to carry out some changes such as name change, address change, the addition of spouse’s name when getting married, etc., in the passport.
Charges
Rs. 1000 is collected as charges for carrying out the changes in both the Ordinary and Tatkal Modes.
