New draft syllabus for classes from 1st Std to +2 released

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palanisamy, released the draft revised syllabus today (Monday, 20th November) for the schools from 1st Standard up to +2 level.
The revised syllabus is being implemented mainly in order to facilitate and prepare the students for a good performance in the entrance examinations conducted at the national level. A special committee of 200 members including the professors, educationists, and Vice-chancellors was formed in order to revise the syllabus.
Now, the draft form of the revised syllabus is ready and is being released today. This draft revised syllabus has been uploaded to the State Council of Educational Research and Training website.The Department of School Education has invited the parents of the students to go through the revised syllabus in draft form and offer their opinions/suggestions. A deadline has been set to offer the opinions/suggestions.
