Bengaluru, Mysuru, Madikeri brace for light spells

Posted on: 19/Oct/2017 10:37:32 AM
After occurring for almost the entire month of October, rains finally took a backseat in Bengaluru. Though the last 48 hours brought some traces of showers for the capital of Karnataka, the last 24 hours were completely dry for the city.

As per Skymet Weather, the reason of this sudden reduction in the rainfall activities over Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka can be attributed to a trough line extending from the southeast Arabian Sea to southwest Bay of Bengal South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In the wake of this, only isolated spells were recorded by the state.

As of now, Due to the absence of any significant weather system, mainly dry weather is anticipated to prevail over the state. Due to this, the maximums may rise over the most parts. Though morning and night are likely to remain pleasant. However, a few parts of South Karnataka adjacent to Tamil Nadu and Kerala such as Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Madikeri can brace for light rains.
