Minibus services in the section Nehru Park - Egmore - Central commences today

With the view to link the Chennai Metro routes, a minibus service has been introduced from today (Friday, 13th October) to operate from Nehru Park to the Central Railway Station via the Egmore Railway Station.
An official from the Chennai Metro transport explained that the minibuses plying the Chennai Metro City are hugely popular among the citizens. The activates to commence another set of 100 new minibus services are in progress. The task of identifying the various routes for these new minibuses has been completed.
These new minibuses are expected to come into service in a month or two. Meanwhile, a new mini bus service, S96, has been introduced to operate from Nehru Park to the Chennai Central Railway Station via Egmore Railway Station. This service will operate at the intervals of 20 minutes.
