Disruption water supply in southern Chennai likely

Due to maintenance work in Nemmeli desalination plant, it is likely that water supply in the southern Chennai regions may be hit on Thursday and Friday.
The plant functions with a total capacity of 100 million litre of water per day. This will be stopped starting from 6 a.m. on 12th October until 6 p.m. on the next day.
Areas that may be hit due to disruption in supply are Adyar, Velachery, Sholinganallur, Besant Nagar, Neelankarai, Perungudi, Injambakkam, Palavakkam, Kottivakkam, Thiruvanmiyur, Mylapore and Mandaiveli.
